1965 Supro Big Star Model 6451tr

I recently acquired this amp. in near mint condition. All original parts and tubes. ITs a twin channel 40 watt with trem. and reverb everything works. Cover included. Would anyone have an idea of its value?

I don't have this specific Supro Amp listed in my Price Guide but I do have the prices of a couple of Supro amps that may allow you to ballpark a price on yours.

Dual-Tone 6424T (1964-65) 17 watts, one 12" Jenson $375-$500

Vibra-Verb 6498VR (1964-65) two 35 watt chan, 1x15" 1x12" $550-$650

Thunderbolt 6420 Bass Amp (1964-67) 35 watts, one 15" $650-$1,150

I think these amps represent the basic price ranges on the Supro amps listed in the Guide, hope this helps. sb

...And I think the high price on the Thunderbolt is an anomaly due to the fact that Jimmy Page is purported to have played one on a lot of Led Zepplin recordings. I wouldn't take that as a sign that other Supros might go for that much.

Very appropriate qualifier on the Thunderbolt Scott. Once a piece of gear gets associated with a "rock icon" the market value frequently jumps beyond the intrinsic value.
