I just bought a Jordan amplifier head today with the original hang tag. Mine is the Professional 440. I couldn't find much info about this brand on the internet.

Here's what I found.From the Jedistar site.

"The Jordan amplifiers (and pedals) were supposedly manufactured between 1966 - 197x in Pasadena, California after which the company was disbanded and most of the technical crew including George Cole (the owner) and Bob Garcia (chief engineer) went to work for Rickenbacker."

There are a couple of Jordan amp catalogs in the VintAxe collection. The 440 Professional is in the 1972 catalog, listed as a new model for that year. You should check out the catalog. The write up has a lot of info on the specs and features.

I thought I heard that the company went out of business sometime in 1972. It would be nice if there was more information about this amp on the internet. I will probably post some pictures of it soon.
