Burman amps?

just wondering if any of you had ever used/owned a Burman amp? I used to know the guy, Greg Burman, who made them in the 80s..and a few guitarists I knew who bought them at the time still swear by them..Greg is still alive as far as i'm aware but must be getting on now. not seen him for about 10 years but i did ask someone how he was a few years ago and he was still alive. very nice bloke as i remember

I recently heard a tale that Greg had made 5 of these amps using real gold for the electronics at enormous expense. Apparently 4 of them are accounted for because they were sold to famous people but one went missing and is believed to have ended up in Germany..so if anyone in Germany has one they should check out the insides..it could be worth a fortune
