Fender Vibro Champ Silverface dating ??

Is anyone here to guide me to a website where I can find serial decodings for 70s Fender amps? all I found about Silverfaces ends at 1969.

mine is most likely some years younger, serial number A 826338

The best online resource I'm aware of is Jedistar's website. I haven't gone through the links on Fender Amps but there might be something that will help there. Jedistar may be able to send you to the best resource if he stops by.

Generally amps are much easier to date than guitars...there are more components that will have date related codes - this also helps whn determining how 'original' the amp is - many parts can be replaced over time.
