Guess what ????

Tony Hunt also built a D-35 model acoustic guitar, for me in 1980.

I was playing a "regional" circuit at the time and picked it up... before tony could get pictures of it.

Tony has not seen it, since that spring day in 1981.

I don't know if he built others.
My serial number is, Guitar Clinic 4 - 81

Classic 7 color sunburst and the center inlays he is know for. Playability and intonation?

I originally wanted a Martin D-35, but they were not "Truly" hand crafted anymore.

So I commissioned Tony to hand craft one for me, while giving him full creative aspect to it.
This included modifications to improve any aspect he believed in.

I was smart to do so.

No other D-35 model comes close.
I'm still the original owner

This is a great history and perfect example of how Vintaxe Guitar Forum works. If this thread were edited into a composite; then if the contributors were interviewed for more details and anecdotes...well, Vintage Guitar Magazine would have a very cool article.
