looking for an outlet to find out the worth of my guitar??

serial # 235675
excellent condition!

any replies with info / help is greatly appreciated.

I consulted a couple of different price guides I have.

Guide 1 suggests a range between $4,600 - $5,800 depending on whether condition is Very Good or Excellent.

Guide 2 suggests a value between $5,800 - $6,600 for a 1968 D-28 in Excellent condition.

This should provide you with some general value guidelines. sb

Excellent guitar. I believe they were still using Brazilian Rosewood when your guitar was built. The last D-28 made with Brazilian rosewood was S/N 254497. If your serial number is lower than that, you have a very collectable guitar. Here is a site for some general information.

lots of martins for sale including your era.

I am looking to buy a Martin dreadnought at the moment and have looked at hundreds over the last few weeks. The Brazilians are highly sought after..and will only improve in value.

Note current models made of Brazilian are going for around $30,000.

If it has no cracks and repairs it will be worth a lot of money. Sure you want to sell it? Think these will keep going up in value. Not a bad investment to sit on...if you can keep the himidity up and the cracks away...
