Any Idea what this guitar is worth?
Is it a bad idea to replace the pickup switches if they are broken?
2 Pickups, 2 Slider Switches
Also I was wondering if you could give me any insight on keeping this guitar in tune. Seems to be difficult to get a consistent tune out of it. The bridge lets the strings slide around on bends. I have never owned a guitar with a bridge like this so I am questioning it's functionality.
Any feedback would be great.

Hi reddrum,
Price depends on exactly what model you have but I can give you a range.
I sold a sunburst finish "teisco style" Heit that was absolutely mint for $140 a couple of years ago. I sold a somewhat more interesting version with a carved body and blue medal flake finish about a year ago for $175.
You can see the blue one here:
As you can see, values are low for precisely the problems you have identified.
I see no problem with replacing the pickup switches. I'd use old ones but I've got parts like these lying around.
As far as the bridge issue, you are right to question it's functionality; it has none. You could try deepening the string grooves or replacing it with a cheap tune-o-matic bridge that will fit the existing posts.
These guitars always need work to make them players and sometimes it's just cost prohibitive to try to whip them into shape. Don't spend much money unless you really love it. sb

Thing about the bridge is, there are no string grooves, so they go wherever they want. I may file a small notch in the bridge and hopefully that will help keep it in tune.
It guitar was definitely tampered with, it's missing quite a few pick guard screws.
Would it be unheard of to squeeze some gold foil pickups on this thing?
The only other question I have is replacing the pots. 2 single coils, do I use a 250k on the Vol and a 500k on the Tone?
