Just acquired this guitar and was curious about it's origin. I know it was made by Teisco or certainly looks like one. Not in bad shape needs clean up and set up. Seems to be all there and original. What have I got good, bad or just another 60's Department store special. Thanks for any Information...Ed

Hey Ed,
Heit was a brand name used by G&H importers of Lodi, New Jersey.
It is definately a late 1960's department store special, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing as long as it feels good and the intonation is close.

I had one for a few years. Think it's still shown on my website.
Played really good, but it had a slight buzz. It's a lightweight guitar with cheap parts. Can't recall how it sounded plugged in.
It does have some collectability.
