Teisco or not Teisco - that is the question?

Hi Guys,
I just bought a very strange guitar! - At first glance it appeared to be a Teisco-built Jedson ( when i saw it on ebay) that had the finish stripped off it but on receiving it i am not so sure as the string tree is not of the bolt-through variety but a screw-in bar, the zero fret is there but the headstock profile is diferent to my other Jedsons? - Also it has, at sometime had what appears to be a Satellite scratchplate put on to replace the "tele" style Jedson one, and, although obviously a single pick up to start with it looks as if someone has had a go at fitting a second one then given the job up? - and someone seems to have, for some reason added a very faint "fender" decal and then removed it? Can anyone help identify it please?

I'm probably going to end up wrong and embarassed, but that has all the looks of a home-made guitar to me, using whatever hardware was available.

Very posibly - however, the body is exactly the same size and shape as my Jedson telecasters and the screw holes that would fit a jedson telecaster scratchplate line up exactly - just wondering about the neck though - it seems odd that it's got the right truss rod, it fits the neck pocket perfectly but is the wrong shaped headstock and ha that weird screw-on bar instead of the bolt-through?

It's not home made, just finish stripped and modified. I've seen these under several different obscure brands, but can't think of one right now. Definitely NOT Teisco, though.

Zenta's a possibility, but more like Alfa-Tone, Castilla, Daimaru, etc.

Definitely NOT Silvertone.
