i have a 1960's gibson explorer GA-15RVT amp and i am wondering what it is worth its in great condition and works fine so can someone please help me out thanks.

Sounds about right to me. I paid about $225 a couple years ago for a '65 GA-8T but it had been in the store for a long time without selling so they were willing to drop the price from the $275 the were originally asking. It's about a 6 cosmetically. I think the GA-8T Discover is similar to your amp except that it's tremolo only (no reverb). It's a 2xEL84 amp.

whats the amp like in general (i'm not a potential buyer by the way, just interested) - sound-wise. Everyone uses Gibson guitars but you don't hear much about amps. Are Gibson amps any good?

I've never used one, but am interested to know how a Gibson guitar sounds through a Gibson amp
