Number Stamp - Kay Acoustic

Hi all,

I was poking around my old Kay acoustic with a mirror and flashlight and noticed a number stamp on the underside of the spruce top.
It reads K12 6797.

Does this translate to mfg date or model (or anything?).

Well, they also made the K12 in a 3/4 size.

In my book it's listed as K12-3/4 so I figured that would probably be the stamp. The previous info holds for the 3/4 as well.
