What model Maxitone is this?

Hi everyone, I need a little help identifying this Maxitone that someone has offered me in a trade. I searched online, including the Matsumoku site, but couldn't find anything. I know you all are super-sleuths! Thanks in advance.

Wow knigel, this guitar has bewildering mixture of elements from different guitars.

The headstock shape is similar to shapes I've seen on Yamaha and Norma guitars of the mid 1960's.

The body looks typical Teisco/Kawai but the pickups look like the type Aria used in the late 1960's.

Duh, I don't know

Hi,

I was looking for info of a maxitone guitar when I came across this post. I would like you to know that I have an identical one. It was purchased by my uncle some 20 years ago at auction. So, for this to be a "frankenstein" would mean that more than one was made. All that it has on it is the name MAXITONE and JAPAN on the back. I am not a guitar person, but I believe this to be a true model and not a loose part build up. Just thought you my want to know. And if anyone can identify this, it would be great.
