Hello all, new here!

Guyatone(?) LG-11W - No headstock or body marks referring to the make. Just the gold and black stickers on the back of the head: "Made In Japan" & "Model LG-11W"

I picked up this for $50 at a thrift store. I searched all over the net for the model number and different Japanese makes etc etc. I kept coming across Guyatone or Teisco.

However, from my limited knowledge, but extensive research, it seems as though Guyatone uses only "LG" as their model numbers, where as Teisco mainly uses "E".

The other thing is that I've never seen anything else similar to this body type in either Guyatone or Teisco resource sites.

Can anyone here advise what might be the reason this model number isn't well documented? It seems like someone at the factory made their own run-off model.

The knobs are not original, btw. The metal-sheet pickguard seems to be original and true.

It's a good little growler and the single-coils seem to output a decent amount of sound. Rather happy with the sound, for $50 that is

Please let me know if you need bigger or better imagery.

Hey joshbrown64.

You indeed have a mid 1960's Guyatone. Don't despair the the model is undocumented since there are probably more undocumented models than documented models of 60's Guyatones.

Your post adds to the knowledge base.

thanks, sb

Hey thanks! If I can help connect to any other LG-11W owners I won't feel so alone in this world! :P

This forum has been a wealth of info and super fun to thumb through, thanks!

If anyone else has seen this model or knows anything specific, that'd be neat to know, thanks!
