Teisco pickup wiring

Another Teisco wiring question. My pickup has a red wire (+ lead), a black wire (- ground) and also a green wire. Does anyone know what the green is? The original wiring was pretty nasty but it looks like the green & black might have been wired together.

Also, there's a yellow wire that runs from the routing cavity to a screw in the tailpiece. Is that some sort of ground? Where would that go on a one pickup guitar?

A little side note: My Harmony H802 had an audio hum when ever I touched the strings and the steel shield on the plug. found out that the yellow ground to the bridge was only touching the plate and the end oxidized causing a slight resistance. I suggest you clean off a spot on the inside of the bridge and solder it on. That assures that everything you touch including the tuners will be grounded properly..
