I'm trying to help someone identify this guitar. I'd say definately Japanese, but there's no name on it anywhere. Any ideas?

Hey Spud1950,

I don't have a positive ID for your guitar, but I'm willing to take a guess.

That plastic compensated bridge was used by Guyatone and Zen-On.

The only time I have seen that tailpiece is on a Zen-On.

The pups look Zen-On.

So, without further information, I'm guessing Zen-On. Here's a picture of a 1966 Zen-On Zes-170 that I believe has close to the same tailpiece as your guitar.

Thanks VintAxe.Yours is the second guess that this is probably a Zen-On. I emailed pictures of it to guitar collector Lord Bizarre and he also thought the same. The the tailpice/trem seems to be exactly the same as the one in your Zen-On picture and along with the plastic bridge, I guess I can safely assume that's what it is.
