firstly, can any of you tell me what the name is for the bar on the headstock the strings go under before the nut? as in this picture..


do any of you have one for sale?

and do any of you have for sale volume and tone knobs like these below?


or can any of you point me in the direction of somewhere i might purchase both items?

Hey Say No To Vorderman,

Congrats on your new project.

That bar is generally referred to as a "string tree" or a "string retainer". They are commonly available on eBay, just make sure you get a good measurement and ask the seller to confirm the width of the bar they are selling.

The knobs are standard Teisco style and won't be hard to replace. More eBay searching will be required here I'm afraid.

I probably have both these items in a parts box. If you have trouble finding them closer to home, let me know and I'll take a look for you. sb
