STAR Foreign EG-80 H guitar Japan Guyatone

Hi!
I have here a STAR Foreign guitar model EG-80 H.
MAde by Guyatone who also made the Antolia guitars
Can someone correctly date me this guitar?
The person where i bought it from (a old man) said it was from end 50's.
Lord Bizarre dates it '58-'59.
Someone any idea wich knobs it needs? These on the guitar are not original, also the tuners are changed.

Hey Ronny,

I think Lord Bizarre is correct on the date. I've never seen anything more accurate than "Late 1950's" associated with these Guyatones. Have you checked the pot codes for more precise dating?

Here are a couple of pictures from Bizarre Guitars of the 60's you might find useful for identifying correct knobs and tuners. Your guitar is certainly a different model, but was likely produced the same year.

An interesting note on these guitars - while they look like they have a truss rod (since there is a truss rod cover), the TRC is strictly ornamental. Take the cover off and there is solid wood underneath...

Are these rare or wanted guitars?
Don't have the intention to sell but a trade might intrest me.
I play bass and a goodlooking (vintage) bass is always welcome.
But if it isn't worth anything, i prefer to keep it as i love this little beauty.
