I quite like the short scale neck, except that it's got a serious intonation problem. It's centered on the G string. When I tune the guitar and fret the G string at the second fret, it is way sharp. The rest of the strings seem fine--or at least close. The strange thing--at least I think it's strange--is that the farther up the neck I fret the G string, the closer it gets to being in tune with the others. I sighted down the neck and did some basic measurements and it doesn't seem like the neck is warped. Plus, I was thinking warping would not apply since the only problem is with the middle string. Anyone have any insight into my problem?
