Electa 1970's Gibson Les Paul Copy

Hi

I am trying to find out more about my Electa sunburst guitar.
I think is early 70's model, it has the open book head, which i believe is pre lawsuit.
Was this made by Ibanez?
Anyone have a rough idea of value?
Having trouble finding similar guitars or info on them.
Any info much appreciated

I've never heard of Electa, do you mean Electra?

It is difficult to tell you much without a picture or model ID. If you do have an Electra, try visiting the Electra Guitar Page and see if you can figure out what you have. It is an excellent resource for Electra guitar information.

There definitely is an Electa brand of guitars. As far as the Ibanez connection,it seems that the Electa brand name was/is owned by Hoshino,the same company that owns the Ibanez brand , and may have been made at the same FujiGen Gakki factory. Here's some info. You'll see the Electa brand mentioned when you get down to "Other Hoshino Brands".



The brand is still being produced today.
