i came across this auction while looking for information found in an old vintaxe board item about carlos guitars.

this looks to be one of the better ones.

Yeah, I think you are right opotable, it is one of the nicer Carlos models. It is in the 1978 Carlos catalog and identified as the 250 Deluxe Maple Dreadnaught. Has a spruce top with flamed maple back and sides. Very pretty.
