Yamaha SC-1200

I saw a beautiful Yamaha SC-1200 in a pawn shop but was with someone and didn't get a chance to mess with it. Was wondering how much one of those babies weighs. Already got a 78 Ibanez Musician and it weighs a ton. Great sustain but not looking for another shoulder killer.

I don't know much about the SC 1200 personally, but apparently they are a fairly scarce instrument having only been produced between 1978-80. I checked my 1980 Yamaha catalog and they don't list the weight of the guitar.
Here's a review on Harmony Central:
You'll probably need to head back to the shop and try it yourself. I saw one listed on the web with an asking price of $950. The Blue Book only lists the SC 400 and the 600.

Appreciate the Info Vintaxe. I am headed back there today to check it out. It looked like a beautiful guitar. Japanese usually are very good about taking care of them so the older guitars are in really good shape. Not always but most of time. Living in Japan has its perks.
