I wouldn't bother replacing any parts. A little bit of rust doesn't impede the playability.

Electras show up on line in Japan, I wouldn`t say regularly but I see them frequently, there is a possibility some were sold domestically...or those I see have made their way back home through the web.

The things I miss when I don't come here for a couple of days!
Anyway - first things first, let's establish a manufacturer, for that a back view of the guitar will help, neckplate, control covers, tuners etc.
Copy-era SLM Electras were built by at least 3 different factories, Fujigen & Kasuga as well as Matsumoku. Normally telling these builders apart by neckplates is straightforward, but I think SLM had their own serialisation, which might confuse matters.
Anyway - amazing thing to pull out of a skip! Don't change anything unless you have to, and I'd bet most of the rust is surface & would clean off with some tlc.

i dont know that the rust/corrosion will buff out because the bridge and backing plate are very pitted. its actully so bad that the bridge is unadjustable but is stuck in tune.
