What's your 'desert island' pick for Made in Japan guitars?

For ease of playing and best quality materials and workmanship, what are your fave vintage made-in-Japan electric guitars and from what era or factory?
In other words, if you could have only one or 2 at a reasonable price, say a max. of $1000 each, what would you want?

Hands down 70s Tokai

It would be my 1974 Ibanez 2350 Les Paul Custom Black Beauty. This is THE actual "Lawsuit" guitar, the one and only. I have owned it since 1982, and it is a joy to play and hear.

This is really easy for me, the Daion neckthru bass is the best Japanese bass I've ever played. I would have to go for the Daion, and maybe a Yairi or Yamaki acoustic to keep the Daion company while I scour the island for young ladies.
