Conveniently this still has its model number sticker - it's an HS740AB - AB is the finish, Antique Brown. It also has an inspection sticker - these are little circular beige/brown things I've seen on lots of Hondos - and other Korean guitars which I assume to be Samicks. This makes me wonder if these nice set-neck Hondos are high-end Korean, not Japanese like we tend to assume.
Certainly there was some nice stuff coming from Cort by the late 70s/early 80s, so there's no reason to assume Samick wasn't capable of the same.
Pickups on my LP are unbranded chrome humbuckers, this makes me think it pre-dates DiMarzios being fitted to Hondos, so I guess mine would be 77-78ish, after the headstock change but before DMs became standard.
