2003 Events November.............Don purchases web space and begins developing the website. We launch VintAxe 1.0 on the Web and our first major update, the VintAxe Message Board is added
December............Paul Grubich joins VintAxe as a contributor and begins sending us pictures of his "Bizarre Guitar" collection
2004 Events
June....................I'm contacted by Paul Grubich about the possibility of buying his guitar collection.
After quick negotiations, a deal is struck. I meet with Paul and we load a U Haul truck with his fantastic guitar collection.
See my son Phil and I admire our haul here.
I return home with the prize here.
I guess I needed a wide angle lens to get all the guitars in the picture
September.........The catalog subscription section of VintAxe is officially launched. The first person to subscribe is a visitor from China. The "What's New" section on the homepage is added
2005 Events
April..................VintAxe.com becomes an official business according to the taxman
December........First contacted by Heinz Rebellius of Gitarre & Bass Magazine about VintAxe
2006 Events
April...............VintAxe surpasses 1,000 unique catalog subscribers since launching the Catalog Section
June..............Scott Freilich and Heinz Rebellius join VintAxe as contributors
July...............The old VintAxe Message Board is replaced with a new Forum. Don and I complete Vintaxe 2.0. We added a new menu structure, a site search engine and much new content.
The revised site goes online July 31
November..During the summer and fall I exchange a flurry of emails with Michael Wright concerning the pre-historic origins of the guitar. In November Michael sends me a draft of chapter 1 of his new book on the history of the guitar
2007 Events
June...............My son Phil joins VintAxe as a contributor
July...............The VintAxe Forum exceeds 500 legitimate members
September..VintAxe surpasses 2,000 unique catalog subscribers since launching the Catalog Section
November..Photos from the VintAxe Catalog Library appear in chapter 9 of Zach Fjestad's book "Gibson Flying V". Google Adsense added
December..The VintAxe Forum exceeds 750 legitimate members
